By contrast, the Blue Harbor Foundation concentrates all of its resources on neuroscience research. We chose to pursue this disciplined focus because of our deep belief in the promise of todayís research opportunities. Without concerted funding, the promise may go unfulfilled.
The Foundation exists to:
* Identify and fund promising clinical research studies with the potential to advance diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders
* Raise public awareness of the significance of neuroscience research in reducing both the stigma and the debilitating nature of mood disorders
* Disseminate research results to mental health professionals
